Born and raised by
two
professional entertainers,
one a Julliard graduate and Broadway singer, the other a nightclub
entertainer,
Van has been playing the piano since he was barely
old enough to get seated on the piano bench!

has delighted many fans all over the country, not just in Atlanta, with
his
piano renditions
and personal arrangements of a wide variety of musical
genre—from
Broadway
to pop, to standards, light jazz and original improvisation.
Van
plays Gershwin to Porter, Andrew Lloyd Weber to Rodgers and
Hammerstein,
the Beatles to Billy Joel, Fats Waller to Duke Ellington. The list goes
on and on. His style, a unique flow of soaring melodies and
blended
chords, allows Van to play in a wide variety of musical settings and
provide
just the right sound to the right occasion. Whether it’s wedding music in Atlanta you're looking for, a simple reception, cocktail party, a lounge or club, corporate business function, accompaniment for a soloist, or one of those “different” get-togethers, Van has that unique touch and feeling that helps to make the occasion special. A popular Atlanta piano player, Van has played in a wide variety of venues over the years. In addition to a multitude of weddings, Christmas parties, special private and corporate parties and receptions throughout north Georgia, Van has played in metro Atlanta establishments such as The Fox Theatre, Peachtree Westin Hotel, Barnsley Gardens, Houston's, The Public House in Roswell, Houston Mill House, Marietta Country Club, Emory University and Unity North Church. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Van lived in Boston and Cape Cod. While attending the Harvard Business School, where he obtained his M.B.A., Van performed in places such as The Hampshire House (home to the pub best known in “Cheers”), The Harvard Club, The Copley Hotel, and also at The Mad Hatter, found on the resort island of Nantucket, off of Cape Cod. He was even seen once at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, sitting at the Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ, pounding out Christmas carols to the delight of the Rockettes! ![]() This father of 3 wonderful sons, all of whom have their own academic, musical, and athletic talents, spends his spare time working out, playing golf, cycling/spinning, reading, fine-tuning his internet web site development/marketing skills, working in technology sales and marketing management (when he must...), and making every effort to enjoy each single day as it comes, striving to make the lives of those around him better. He prefers to spend his vacation time somewhere close to water, usually at a beach, or in a secluded mountain cabin (although he still manages to find a keyboard, no matter where he is...) He also teaches business classes at Shorter College's School of Professional Studies in Atlanta, as an adjunct professor of Business Management, and will shortly be pursuing his Doctorate in Business Management.
